Who would have thought that the first round match-up between the Celtics and Bulls would have been this good?!?
It's been without question, the best series of the opening round of the playoffs by a landslide.
The champs were expected by many to walk all over the Baby Bulls, whose late season push solidified them a spot in the Eastern conference playoff picture.
The news of the Celtics being without KG, their defensive anchor and emotional leader due to a knee injury had many doubting they would even get out of the first round.
And now, here we are on the verge of the ever intense Game 7.
The Bulls have had terrific contributions from all over. Rookie of the Year, Derrick Rose has been spectacular, Ben Gordon has hit some key shots and Joakim Noah has been extremely active on the boards.
They've all chipped in and Chicago will need them to come through in a big way if they want to take Game 7.
Having said all that, if there's a guy in Chicagoland I'm most concerned about, it would have to be the radio play-by-play voice of the Chicago Bulls, Chuck Swirsky.
You see, Chuck just returned back to Chicago this season after spending a decade as the play-by-play voice with the Toronto Raptors.
While Chuck was with Toronto, the Raps failed to make the playoffs 5 times and the other 5 playoff appearances had them ousted in the first round with the exception of a second round game 7 loss in 2000/2001 to Philly.
The point is Chuck isn't used to working this hard at this point in the season and I'm not sure he'll make it.
Let's not forget the fact that 5 out of the 6 games played between the Celtics & Bulls have gone into overtime.
That's a lot more work than he's used to.
The guy must be tired...I just hope for Chuck's sake that he finds a way of keeping it together.
