Are You Kiddin' Me?"

CHUCK IS HERE!! CHUCK IS HERE!! CHUCK IS HERE!!

Chuck Swirsky became the play-by-play voice of the Toronto Raptors during the 98–99 NBA season.

The guy known as The Swirsk spent a decade in the T-Dot before heading back to his hometown of Chicago and taking on the radio play-by-play duties for the Bulls.

He was the face of the Toronto Raptors franchise for many fans and he'll always be remembered for his energy, enthusiasm and classic catch phrases.

The NBA Breakdown welcomes Chuck and his onions to the program to chat about the Bulls memorable first round match up against the Boston Celtics, the impact that Rookie of the Year, Derrick Rose has had on the team and reflections on his 10 years with the Toronto Raptors.

Here's Jerry!!

The NBA Breakdown had the distinct privelege of welcoming the master architect of the 2008 Olympic Men's Basketball team who won gold in Bejing.

That's right, Jerry Colangelo joins us to talk NBA hoops and all the stuff on his plate.

JC is no stranger to building successful squads. He also spent some time talking about the 1993 Phoenix Suns squad he designed.

They may have led the league with 62 wins however, they had no answer for Micheal Jordan in six games despite all the destiny talk from Sir Charles.

The NBA Breakdown is where all the fun is.

Thanks Wayman!

Wayman Tisdale, a 12 year NBA veteran and jazz musician died at the age of 44 after a two-year battle with cancer.

Wayman was more than just a former NBAer who became an accomplished jazz musician after he retired. He was an inspiration to so many others as he battled a disease that eventually claimed his life.

Wayman, a 6-foot-9 forward, played with the Sacramento Kings, Indiana Pacers and Phoenix Suns, averaging 15.3 points during his playing career.

He also played on the U.S. team that won the gold medal at the 1984 Olympics.

And in recent years, several of his music albums made the Billboard Top 10 charts.

The NBA Breakdown had the distinct privilege of welcoming Wayman on the program as a guest in March of 2009 where he discussed his health, music career and basketball.

Wayman never lost the smile and maintained a positive attitude even after doctors amputated his leg in August 2008 in an attempt to stem the cancer.

Wayman said, “I’m getting through it and keeping a positive attitude about the whole situation.”

He also said, "People who make it through things like this are the positive people and that's what I want to be known as."

The NBA Breakdown pays tribute to man who's legacy of having a positive upbeat attitude and infectious smile will be remembered by so many.

Thank Wayman for all you've done.

New York Knicks Big Man, David Lee Joins Us!

Dwight Howard, Tim Duncan and Chris Bosh couldn't do it, but David Lee could. Yup, he rose above the NBA's most talented big men by leading the league in double doubles with 65 in 2008-09. Not bad for an undersized center who always has to eat D12's elbows and contend with Yao Ming and his tree trunk legs. This Sunday on The NBA Breakdown at 9pm ET, you'll get to hear David's thoughts on wrestling Howard, Ming and the NBA's other top big guys every night plus you'll find out his new nickname during our interview with the future all-star. It's only on The NBA Breakdown where you get hoops talk, the way it should be!

I Hope Chuck is OK

Who would have thought that the first round match-up between the Celtics and Bulls would have been this good?!?

It's been without question, the best series of the opening round of the playoffs by a landslide.

The champs were expected by many to walk all over the Baby Bulls, whose late season push solidified them a spot in the Eastern conference playoff picture.

The news of the Celtics being without KG, their defensive anchor and emotional leader due to a knee injury had many doubting they would even get out of the first round.

And now, here we are on the verge of the ever intense Game 7.

The Bulls have had terrific contributions from all over. Rookie of the Year, Derrick Rose has been spectacular, Ben Gordon has hit some key shots and Joakim Noah has been extremely active on the boards.

They've all chipped in and Chicago will need them to come through in a big way if they want to take Game 7.

Having said all that, if there's a guy in Chicagoland I'm most concerned about, it would have to be the radio play-by-play voice of the Chicago Bulls, Chuck Swirsky.

You see, Chuck just returned back to Chicago this season after spending a decade as the play-by-play voice with the Toronto Raptors.

While Chuck was with Toronto, the Raps failed to make the playoffs 5 times and the other 5 playoff appearances had them ousted in the first round with the exception of a second round game 7 loss in 2000/2001 to Philly.

The point is Chuck isn't used to working this hard at this point in the season and I'm not sure he'll make it.

Let's not forget the fact that 5 out of the 6 games played between the Celtics & Bulls have gone into overtime.

That's a lot more work than he's used to.

The guy must be tired...I just hope for Chuck's sake that he finds a way of keeping it together.
