After learning he had cancer, former Phoenix Sun and now accomplished musician, Mr. Wayman Tisdale was forced to have a portion of his right leg amputated to ensure that it wouldn't spread.
He's fully recovered and is here to share his story of overcoming obstacles.

Just A Little Monkey Business
If you know me well, then you'd know that The Audman doesn't like to brag or boast.
Unless of course, it's at the expense of my trusty sidekick, Dave Mendonca who always finds time to "monkey" around.
Enjoy!
(I know I did!)

It's Just A Story Folks!
The Planet of the Apes was a story about of a group of space explorers who travelled to far off planets completely and literally run by apes.
The apes walked upright, wore clothes and lived in a civilization that mirrored our very own. They were the dominant species and regarded us humans as inferior.
I thought it was important to remind followers of The NBA Breakdown that this was just a story, it's not real!
Here's the reason why...This past week, Dave and I faced each other in our fantasy league showdown for the fourth and final time this season.
If you've been keeping tabs on us you'd know that the loser (Dave) has had to imitate a variety of animal sounds.
We've had both chickens & elephants.
So now we welcome Ape-Man Dave to the mix and again I want to remind you that no matter how authentic the little guy sounds, we are NOT being overun by apes!
Nah, it couldn't be...Could it??
Tune in for hoops talk, the way it should be!
This public service announcement has been brought to you by The NBA Breakdown.
Here We Go Again!
Besides the monkey business, we'll be discussing the different branches of the NBA. We'll talk about its global impact, specifically, its growth in the Great White North with NBA Canada General Manager, Dan MacKenzie.
In addition to its worldwide presence, the NBA also has been a great supporter of the WNBA. ESPN basketball sideline reporter, Doris Burke will stop by to discuss the importance of their partnership.
Of course, we wouldn't be a legit basketball show if we didn't talk a little bit about March Madness. Audley and I will reveal our Final Four and Championship picks.

It's Time For The People To Decide!
They'll be squaring off against one another in their fantasy league for the final time of the regular season.
In the past, the loser (Dave) has been forced to embarass himself in front of a world wide audience by making ridiculous animal sounds.
It started off with the chicken challenge:
Then it became the elephant showdown:
And now we've decided to put the choice in the hands of the people.
Check out the on-line poll on TheNBABreakdown.com and let us know what you think the loser should do.
It'll take a quick second to vote but the results could bring about enough shame and humiliation to last a lifetime for the loser.

We Beat Larry King!
The newly appointed mayor of Sacramento shared his experiences of being the head of the town he grew up in, his playing days in the NBA and the significance of Barack Obama being elected as the first African American president of the United States.
It seems that Larry King is a fan of The NBA Breakdown because KJ was a guest on CNN's Larry King Live nearly a month later.
The topic was of course Barack Obama.
Hey Larry! - If you're stuck for show ideas, Dave and I would be more than happy to help out and give you a hand.
Didn't you learn as a kid that it isn't nice to be a copycat?
To quote Mark Jackson, "You're better than that!"
But then again, I guess its a form of flattery.
Thanks Larry.

What Is Shaq Eating?
The question is why is this re-emergence happening now? Doesn't the big fella know he's 36 years old and on the downside of his career? I guess no one sent him the e-mail. Okay, but why is he destroying opponents right now instead of earlier this season? Was it because his skills weren't conducive to Porter's offensive system, so he's now getting the ball more? Is it because Shaq is healthy? Actually, he has been for much of the season. He's only missed 7 games. The longest he's been out was 2 straight games (Dec. 10th vs Lakers, Dec. 12th vs Magic). What else can it be then? Hmmm, maybe it's his diet? Let's analyze this.
For a guy who is 7 foot 1 and over 300 pounds, you need a good start to the day, so breakfast is crucial. I'm guessing the Big Quotable is scarfing down about 30 eggs, 3 packages of bacon and washing it down with 5 cups of OJ.
Wrong OJ, but you get what I mean. Alright, now let's look at Shaq's lunch. He needs lots of protein and complex carbohydrates for game day. I'm guessing he eats a ton of chicken, seafood and salad.
Finally, let's look at Shaq's dinner. Well, nowadays, it's basically his NBA opponents.
There you go. That's what I'm guessing Shaq's diet is looking like these days. Hey, if it works for you big man, keep doing it. It's great to have you back!
